Midshipman Student Lead Club – Special Warfare Club
The University of Minnesota Special Warfare Club is a student-led organization composed of Naval and Marine Corps Midshipmen who meet weekly to develop skills and prepare for service in the USN and USMC Special Warfare communities. The club is open to all students interested in service—whether enlisted or commissioned—who wish to challenge themselves physically, meet like-minded peers, and gain exposure to Special Warfare training.
Members of the club engage in rigorous physical training and leadership development exercises designed to prepare them for operational demands. The club also trains to compete in an endurance race in Boulder, Colorado, held during the Spring semester. This ~13-mile event includes:
Rucking with 45–75 lb packs through rough terrain and varying elevation
Calisthenics and field PT stations
Leadership and knowledge-based evolutions
Physically, mentally, and morally challenging tasks that test participants in all aspects
Students interested in joining the Special Warfare Club, learning more about the program, or would like more information may contact the club president at [email protected].
