JROTC Events

The University of Minnesota NROTC program is delighted to support JROTC physical
fitness and close order drill competitions. Representatives of the NROTC program who
will evaluate your unit competitions may include Marines, Sailors, and Midshipmen.

The prerequisites for applying for members of the University of Minnesota NROTC to
help judge you units event include:

1. Submit request via the website at least three weeks in advance.
2. The number of evaluators needed (Active Duty Marines, Sailors, Navy Option and
        Marine Option Midshipmen).
3. Location, date, and time of competition (start and finish times).
4. Parking space/locations need to be identified for the NROTC unit van as well as POVs
        of members of the NROTC unit who will be supporting the event.
5. A schedule of events being judged to include designated times for breaks and meals.
6. If the competition runs during meal hours, food shall be provided for the judges
        during the event.
7. Donations are gladly accepted.

Color Guard Events

The University of Minnesota NROTC color guard is an award-winning unit that is
available to perform upon request. We specialize in flag details as well as
National Anthem ceremonies. Our color guard is comprised of Navy and Marine
Midshipmen. We offer a mixed unit or service specific color guard to perform.

The prerequisites to apply for the University of Minnesota NROTC to provide a
color guard detail for your event are:
1. Submit request via the website at least three weeks in advance.
2. The type of color guard desired (Navy, Marine, or mixed).
3. Location, date, and description of the associated event.
4. Parking spaces and their locations need to be identified for the NROTC unit
        van and members of the NROTC unit who will be supporting the event.
5. A schedule of events for the ceremony to include actual start and finish times.
6. If the event runs during meal hours, food shall be provided for the supporting
        midshipmen and staff.
7. Donations are gladly accepted.
